3 Ways to Control Depth of Field (the range of sharp focus)
1. Aperture: size of the lens opening
Large aperture = shallow depth of field / Small aperture = deep dof
2. Focal Length: distance between the lens and the image sensor
Long (zoom) = shallow depth of field / Short (wide angle) = deep dof
3. Subject Distance: distance between lens and subject
Short = shallow depth of field / Long = deep depth of field
